Thousands of years ago, the first drawings are on the walls of caves.
Then, the Romans and Greeks knew how to “make advantages” of walls to display messages or images to show their worldview. Wall paintings also appeared from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and all over the world.

Along with the birth and popularity of Spray Paint (link of the article), Modern Graffiti appeared in Philadelphia – United States in the early 1960s and spread to New York. This new art form actually developed in the 1970s, in which the term “Graffiti” was first used by the New York Times and novelist named Norman Mailer. This time also recognized the intense debate between two opinions: graffiti is a type of art or vandalism of the public space. Many people believe that fresh drawings will make the city space lively and less claustrophobic; however, many people do not recognize this type of art, they think Graffiti is the demolition of landscape and public properties.
After the beginning of “free” activities, street artists had to find out new spaces for creation, using many alternative methods such as canvas houses or roofs of buildings. However, no matter where they are created or under any space, Graffiti works are still received by the public enthusiastically.

The formula to create a Graffiti picture is very simple, that are spray paint cans, walls, an artist soul and skills, you can create a work by your own.
For “professional” Graffiti artists, the entire support tools are neatly on spray paint cans, can lids are used to draw circles, curves; whereas injection nozzles are used to crate blurry backgrounds when spraying in a far distance, and to form definitive strokes when spraying at a close distance. In addition, spraying angles, different injection forces are also creating different “languages”.
Colors for creating Graffiti pictures are also very diversified according to different subjects. Unlike other forms of painting, the color of Graffiti pictures is almost dependent on “manufacturers” because the mixing and blending of different colors is not an easy challenge.
Therefore, for street artists, spray paint is not only a tool, but also an irreplaceable partner.
